A service level is the response time target for the storage group.
Prerequisites
The display of service level workload details (available by clicking
Show Details) is available only for storage systems that have been registered for performance data collection.
About this task
Workload details represent a typical workload that is used as a placeholder to test the impact of adding a storage group.
Steps

Select the storage system.

Select
to open the
Service Level
view.
For all-flash storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977, the only service level available is Diamond.
Available service levels are displayed in card format.

For storage systems running PowerMaxOS 5978 Q319 SR or later, select the
Remaining Headroom measurement unit (IOPS or GB).
The remaining headroom value is displayed.

Optional: In a mixed FBA/CKD environment, select the emulation type from the Emulation List dropdown menu.
The service levels available update automatically.
If the emulation type is set to CKD, the Workload Types tab is not available.

Optional: To rename a service level, hover over the service level card and click
. Type the new name over the existing name and click
to complete the renaming process. To cancel the renaming, click
.

Optional: To provision storage using a service level, select the service level card and a corresponding workload type and click
Provision.
The
Provision Storage wizard opens, with the service level and the workload type is populated by default. For the CKD Provisioning wizard, only the service level is selected by default. For more information about using the wizard, see

Show Details to view more detailed workload information -
